Your first AI article
This walkthrough takes you from an empty site to a published, SEO-ready post in about five minutes. It assumes you've installed the plugin and connected an OpenAI key.
1. Open the Content Generator
Go to Auto RepAI → Content Generator.
2. Describe the article
- Topic — be specific: "How often should you water basil, including signs of overwatering" beats "basil care".
- Choose a content type (blog post, article, product description…), tone and language.
- Pick the model — GPT-4o is a great default; GPT-4o Mini is cheaper for drafts.
- Optionally tick Generate SEO metadata so a meta description, focus keyword and tags are produced with the article (written straight into Yoast SEO or Rank Math if installed — see SEO integrations).
3. Generate and review
Click Generate Content. In 10–30 seconds the article appears with its token usage and cost. Read it — AI output is a draft, not a final say. Regenerate or tweak the topic if the angle is wrong.
4. Create the post
Click Create Post: the article is saved as a draft post, with SEO metadata attached. Open it in the editor to polish headings, add internal links and your own perspective.
5. Add a featured image
Either use the AI Image Generator and insert the result from your media library, or tick the featured-image option during generation if you enabled it in Settings.
6. Publish
Hit Publish in the editor. Done — your first AI-assisted article is live.
Where to go next
- Fix your existing posts with Auto Repair — that's where Auto RepAI really differs from generator-only plugins.
- Score the new post for AI-search citability with AI Visibility.
- Producing at scale? Bulk Content turns a topic list into a queue of drafts.
